This year marks Twenty-two Years in the Beauty Industry on this fantastic voyage I call life. I graduated Cosmetology School at Avanti in Lakeland, FL and spent the first ten years perfecting my cut and color skills. It was important for me to be well rounded in my craft and learn all the secrets of hair. After Fifteen years in the business I felt I needed more and I packed my bags to head home to Minnesota. After realizing my strengths lie in Event Hairstyling and Make Up, I built Gypsy Hair Guru, a business that loves to travel as much as I do. Gypsy Hair Guru had no brick and mortar until 2024, when I purchased MN NAF Salon, in South Minneapolis, where we found our new home.

Gypsy Hair Guru was my dream to bring together Master Stylists and Makeup Artists together to grow our skills while bringing Luxury Styles to Minnesota Brides. Everyone feels Regal when they have a Professional Wedding Stylist teasing their hair on your special day.

During the Week you will find me at MN NAF's Garden of the Gods satisfying my love of Vivid Colors, Flawless Blondes & Reds, Bellami Extensions, Natural Curls and All the Cuts my shears can make.

I’m Issa, and my mission is to help you feel like the most radiant version of yourself. My journey in beauty began with a passion for how makeup transforms our inner spirit. Through my years with Laura Mercier and Chanel, I learned that the secret to a timeless look starts with healthy skin and ends with effortless confidence.

Today, as the Lead Makeup Artist and Communications Manager for Gypsy Hair Guru, I find my true purpose in guiding brides toward their dream wedding aesthetic. I’m here to bridge the gap between your vision and reality, ensuring every detail of your big day is handled with care, expertise, and a touch of glamour.

A former Aveda educator, Hannah Jo brings master-level expertise and a deep passion for beauty to our styling team. While she excels in all aspects of hair, she truly shines when creating vivid color transformations and whimsical, romantic styles.

Bridal artistry is Hannah Jo’s favorite way to showcase her technical skills, and she is officially ready to welcome all of our 2026 brides. When she is not behind the chair, she’s likely at home relaxing with her cats. We are so excited to have her talent on the team!

Makeup Artist

Carolina is dedicated to the art of transformation, specializing in high-end glam and the “snatched” natural aesthetic. She is a true Makeup Artist and has a passion for it, always researching the best products to add to her kit. A distinguished graduate of Cleopatra’s Makeup Academy, she excels in airbrush makeup and the creation of soft glam looks. Her approach combines technical excellence with a visionary eye, ensuring every client achieves a luminous, effortless finish.

With an established background in High Fashion modeling, Cat brings an editorial eye and a sophisticated touch to bridal beauty. She specializes in creating timeless hairstyling and soft-glam makeup designed to illuminate your natural features. Her signature approach focuses on an effortless, enduring elegance that ensures every bride looks as classic today as she will decades from now.

Makeup Artist

From fashion runways and Quinceañeras to her true love for Bridal, Yaya’s journey is built on expert knowledge and a heart for her community. Having spent time assisting the pros, she mastered how a perfect wedding morning goes. Ensuring her brides feel both flawless and stress-free. Fluent in Spanish and always leveling up with the latest beauty education, Yaya brings a mix of seasoned skill and fresh trends to bride.
